Mō Ā ringa kōrero

Ko Hinai te maunga

Ko Manuao te waka

Ko Ratana te marae

Ko Morehu te iwi

"Ko te Takutai Moana taku rohe roto, waho, nāku katoa kei roto i te kapu o te ringa"

(T.W.RATANA)

Kia Ora! My name is Kia, I am the person behind Ā ringa kōrero - a proud māmā, maker and lover of pūrakau.

This kaupapa began with my two kotiro, when I started making handmade felt resources to bring our pūrakau to life. Since then, Ā ringa kōrero has grown in to a creative space where mātauranga Māori meets felt play imagination.

Every resource is designed with care and purpose - guided by the values of manaakaitanga, whakawhanaungatanga and ako.

I believe that learning should be hands-on, playful, and full of wairua. Through these taonga, I hope tamariki and their whānau can explore stories, ask questions, and spark kōrero that lasts long after the resource is packed away.

Nau mai, whakatau mai.
